B!Caracter

Programme for the development of character strengths

B!CARÀCTER is a project developed by a group of teachers from Bell-lloc that develops the strengths of our students’ character in order to achieve personal excellence, while also providing families with tools to keep up with the work being done at school.

The objective of the B!CARÀCTER is to acquire 25 strengths that shape the character of the person and are divided into three dimensions:

Management of the environment

Open mindedness

Justice

Sobriety

Courage

Leadership

Citizenship

Personal dimension

Interior

Study

Creativity

Optimism

Ideals

Tidiness

Responsibility

Prudence

Outdoor

Strength

Self esteem

Integrity

Eagerness to learn

Gratitude

Openness to others

Interpersonal dimension

Communication

Friendship

Perseverance

Cooperation

Honesty

Generosity

Each month, in each Bell-lloc course, we work on one of these strengths according to an Action Plan:

For the little ones – from the 1st to the 4th year of Primary school – every month they will work out some routines to carry out at school and at home and that are specified in the personal agenda.

From the 5th year of Primary school and up to the 2nd year of Upper Secondary school, they will do this in relation to a personal goal. Each month, at the time of tutoring, they will complete a self-evaluation on that strength of character and each student will set a personal goal that they will try to realise with the help of their personal tutor. Also, a case study will be worked on monthly related to the monthly goal and other activities that give rise to reflection on that strength of character.

In the B!CARÀCTER section of the school’s website, you will find tips for helping your children acquire that strength at home each month, as well as recommended films for family-forums, cool articles, and more.

We want B!CARÀCTER to be a transversal and dynamic project, in a constant process of transformation, so we appreciate any contributions that everyone – parents, teachers and students – can make to improve and enrich it.
